Cassius is a general under Julius Caesar and despises the fact that commoners love him and think of him as a god. In the beginning, he tries persuading Brutus a man under Julius as well and begins persuading him of how he is the same as them and begins manipulating him by using the safety of Rome and how it is supposed to be free and not under one ruler. Overall his intentions build up to getting rid of Julius Caesar.
