Personal Growth

Over the two week break, my hard work paid off in my cross country meet. I had improved my 5k (3.1 miles) time of 20:59 to 20:43 a 6:39 mile pace ( the .1 of a mile adds an extra 30 to 40 seconds to a normal 3 mile time). Considering that I was previously injured, I was happy that I had improved. Along with improving my time, I also learned some racing strategies. One main strategy that helped me improve was to not start out too fast. If you start too fast, you will die out at the end. You can tell that you are going too fast in the beginning if you are breathing too hard. I know for sure that will soon be able to drop my time even further.
