Blackout

The blackout that occurred on Thursday September 8, 2011 was really tense. When i came home from school i was eating with my family and all of a sudden the lights went out we were all confused about what was happening we went to our rooms, and bathrooms and tried turning on our lights and t.v's but they wouldn't turn on. That's when i finally realized it was a power outage. After that my mom told us we were gonna go on a drive we went outside seeing all our neighbors and talking about what happened. As we went for a drive all the lights were out and the stores were closed. We went home and light candles so it wouldn't be dark. As the sun was starting to go down family and friend came over. Even though the blackout was very scary, i am thankful that it happened because it brought all of our family and friend together and at the end of the day we jut spent time with each other and had a bonfire.
