Many of us as students may have borrowed few wordings from internet or any other source to complete our assignments. However if we copy one's ideas or borrow one's original ideas, it is considered as a literary theft, plagiarism. We might ask if words can be really stolen. The answer is definitely yes. One's ideas is its intellectual property. It's just like someone robbing a bank. If caught by plagiarising, one will get a zero on that assignment, get an F in citizenship grade, and get parent-student meetings. Furthermore in university, it can result in an expulsion. Like these consequences, plagiarism is becoming a serious issue due to large amount of information on internet. Plagiarism can be avoided by citing the source.
