Plagiarism

Plagiarism means to take the work or idea of someone else and claim it as your own. Some examples of why people would do this is because they are too lazy to do their own work, don't have enough time to do it, or don't know how to do the assignment. Plagiarism is taken more seriously than people think; it has serious consequences such as suspension or even expulsion. People should not plagiarize because doing it shows that one is lazy and is not creative enough to do their own work. Also, plagiarizing does not help one learn anything. People can also do their own work in the time it takes for them to plagiarize, so why not just use common sense and not steal other people's work? Other things people can do instead of plagiarize is asking others for help on the assignment.
