Plagiarism is not something that should be taken lightly. Many students who believe they can just plagiarize and not be punished for their actions because they will get away with it. Just as stealing something from someone or somewhere is looked down upon, plagiarism is the exact same thing that is just over the internet and used for writing. When someone plagiarizes they are telling their reader that those words are theirs, and that those words came from their brains, but actually, they are just being pencil pushers. Parents probably would not like to hear about their child earning false grades on papers because that would just make that child a disappointment to themselves and their family. Plagiarism should not be practiced before, now and in the future.
