Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a growing problem for students in high school since the work given becomes more challenging while the students become more lazy to do their own work. This is a problem because students are copying other people's work and knowledge and claiming it as their own. The act of plagiarism can lead to many serious consequences such as an F in scholarship and/or citizenship, detention/Saturday school, and especially notifying the parents of the student. Also, the relationship between the teacher and student would be ruined in a way where the teacher no longer has very much respect or trust in that particular student. Not only is plagiarizing wrong, but it is also illegal. This situation can easily be avoided though if students work hard, do their own work, and not procrastinate which usually leads a student to plagiarize in the first place.
