When the blackout happened, I actually didn't notice until one of my friends texted me saying that there was one. So I went to one of the lights in my house and flipped the switch and it didn't turn on. I started to do my homework since there was nothing else to do. As it grew darker I was worried that I wouldn't finish my homework since I was so distracted about the blackout. Knowing that I didn't have enough time I went out with my brother and looked at the stars. They were more clearer than usual. When we went back home we listened to the radio and heard "All Public Schools Closed Tomorrow." When I heard that, I was so relieved since I had more time to do it.
