Controversial School Policy: iPods/MP3 players

At school we are not allowed to use our music devices inside the classroom, but once we step outside for our free time they are allowed. I believe that this school policy should be changed to allowing students to listen to their music during independent study as well. Why do we bring our iPods and listen to music at school? Well, it is way for us to relax, block out outside noise, and relieve stress. What better time to do this, but during tests and times when the teacher wants us to work alone. By allowing this, we can focus on our work by ourselves and not have the temptation to talk to our neighbor. It is a win-win situaion: kids can focus and teachers don't have to worry too much about chatting students.
