We should not be forced by law to help others in need. If we were, then too many people would rush to help someone out if they got hurt, in example. It would be hectic. Plus, we should help out of common sense and by choice. Aiding someone by law does not show how caring and helpful you are. It can show how you want to stay out of being fined or put to jail. If that is what you have in mind, then it is for yourself and not for the need of the person.
