Hats? Why not?

One of many controversial school policies that I disagree with would have to be the no hats at school policy. I strongly disagree with this rule especially how far Olympian High School has taken it, as in we can only where OLYMPIAN caps! Why in the world would we want to wear our schools old-fashioned plain and simple hats? We are not all rich and can afford these hats, why can't we wear hats of our own? Honestly, I feel that when wearing hats, there are no distraction towards us during school. We could really care less what hat any of our peers wear so why would it be such a distraction. Hats are a fashion statement and also sun protection for our heads. Please can everyone understand that this school policy is unreasonable.
