Charles Taylor more commonly known as Chuck, played for the Arkon Firestones and later became involved in coaching and playing for the Converse All-Stars the companys basketball team while traveling with the team he started to promote the shoes. As a result of his well promotion of the shoes and helping with the desing his name was added to the ankle patch, thus the "Chuck Talyor" All-Star Basketball Shoe was born! Since then the company has introduced many different sytles with the optical white high tops in 1936, and in 1949 the classic black and white high tops came out , and in 1957 they introduced the low cut All Star and became more polular then either of the high tops. And now there are even more styles, patterns, material but its still the same shoe, that was remained one of the most popular shoes for more the fifty years and will live on for many more.
