Gum!--Controversial rule at school

One of Olympian High School's main rules is no gum. Even though this rule keeps our school clean and nice, students should be allowed to chew gum. I also believe that there are benefits to chewing gum. In fourth grade, my teacher would allow us to chew gum before taking the CST's because it helps us focus and perform better. Research also shows that gum improves your memory and they result in better academic performance.
