Paintings are very unique. There are many styles, shapes, sizes and techniques used by artists. They can be as colorful as a rainbow or as plain as a sheet of paper. What I love most about paintings (and art in general) is the creativity and imagination put into them, whether it's just a rose or a scene in the park. Painting is one of the many great ways to express your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and who you are.
When you run your finger on the actual canvas, you can feel the dry paint and how smooth or bumpy it is, depending on the author's painting technique. You can see paintings in many different places, such as books, homes, museums, and even movies.
